Comparisons

More than, less than, as… as, and the best.

  • más + adjective + que: Madrid es más grande que Sevilla.
  • menos + adjective + que: Es menos caro que el otro.
  • tan + adjective + como: Soy tan alto como mi padre. With nouns: tanto/a/os/as … como.
  • The most: el / la más + adjective (+ de): la ciudad más bonita de España.

Irregular: bueno → mejor, malo → peor, grande (age) → mayor, pequeño (age) → menor. Before a number, use de: más de cien personas.
